Ochanomizu University invites submissions of logos for a project marking its 150th anniversary in 2025. The project is intended to highlight the history of the university and disseminate its ongoing work in women’s education for greater society.
(1) Eligibility
- Current students, alumni, present/past staff of Ochanomizu University
- Current students and alumni of the university’s affiliated senior/junior high/elementary schools/kindergarten
* Submissions must be created by individuals rather than by groups.
* Design professionals are ineligible.
* Minors (under the age of 18) as of the submission date must have parental consent. (Prize winners who are minors must also submit a parental consent form.)
(2) Submission period
Entries should be submitted between Wed. December 1, 2021 and 3 p.m. on Mon. January 31, 2022. Thu. March 31,2022
(1) Entries can be emailed to info@cc.ocha.ac.jp.
(2) Entries should be sent with a completed project logo submission form.
- Design specifications:
JPEG, PNG or GIF up to 5 MB; resolution approx. 350 dpi
(3) The email subject should be "Ochanomizu University Logo Submission." Clearly specify your affiliation and name in the body of the email.
* Graduates and ex-staff of the university or any of its affiliated schools/kindergarten should indicate the period of attendance and work, the relevant school and the current affiliation.
(1) Entries should be mailed to:

(2) Entries should be sent with a completed project logo submission form and be printed or drawn on A4 paper.
(3) Email the university’s Planning and Strategy Division (Public Relations) (info@cc.ocha.ac.jp) to advise of postal submissions.
* Notification of receipt will be issued within five days.
- One Winner: 50,000 yen, certificate and Ochanomizu University merchandise
- One Runner-up: Certificate and Ochanomizu University merchandise
- Entries should be unpublished original works created by the submitter, and must not infringe on any third-party copyright or trademark.
- Entries found to be identical or similar to existing works after selection may be disqualified.
- Copyrights (including rights set forth in Articles 27 and 28 of the Copyright Act), trademark acquisition rights and any other rights concerning the affiliation and use of entries shall belong to Ochanomizu University. Moral rights may be exercised only for the winning entry.
- Selected works may be changed in design and color or modified/altered at the discretion of the university.
- Selected logos may be used in combination with text.
- Entrants are responsible for all costs related to submission. Entries will not be returned.
- Personal information provided in relation to submissions will be appropriately managed and used only for related administration.
The Organizing Committee for the Project Commemorating the 150th Anniversary of Ochanomizu University (hereafter “the Committee”) will select one winning entry based on rigorous screening and evaluation. The winner and runner-up will be notified, and the results will be posted on the Ochanomizu University website.
- Only the winner and runner-up will be contacted.
- Depending on entry standards, a winner may not be selected.
Matters not covered here shall be determined by the Committee.
